I have confirmed it using my Autel When it cmoes to problems with glow plugs sticking not just limited to Renault but a lot of common rail and direct injection diesel engines suffer from carbon. On stating it after storage the glowplugs warning light stays on an it operates in limp home mode only. I'm guessing that either one or more of the plugs is dead and needs to be replaced or the timer relay underneath the battery is faulty and ditto.
I have a renault laguna dci and the glow plugs stayed on and wrecked the engine.
The EGR, if faulty diaphragm, would cause a loss of power, but that's mainly on a gasoline engine.
